Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Boxy Cats app and the website boxy-cats.web.app, provided by Youngmi Jang (“we”, “us”). By using Boxy Cats you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA). If they conflict, the Standard EULA applies.

1. Using the game

We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Boxy Cats for your own, non-commercial enjoyment on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s rules.

2. In-app purchases

• Purchases are processed by Apple, and the price is shown before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
• Items you buy are licensed for use in Boxy Cats. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred outside the game.
• You can restore purchases on another device signed in with the same Apple Account.

3. Leaderboards, names and fair play

Please play fair. You may not cheat, use bots or automated play, modify the app or its network traffic, or otherwise try to manipulate scores or the leaderboard. We may remove entries or limit access to online features when we see abuse.

Every player starts with a name made up automatically, and may choose their own. A name you choose is shown to other players. It must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening or harassing, pretend to be someone else (including us or Apple), or contain personal information.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable names and abusive players. Names are checked when you save them, and anyone can report a name in the app (press and hold it on the leaderboard) or by email. We review reports within 24 hours. A name that breaks these rules is reset to the automatic one, and we may remove the player’s entries and block them from online features.

4. Ads

The free version of Boxy Cats shows ads provided by third parties. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or sites you visit through them.

5. Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue features, including leaderboards, at any time. We try to keep online features available, but we do not guarantee that they will always work without interruption.

6. Our content

The game, its art, characters, sounds and name belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights in them beyond using the game.

7. Disclaimers and limits of liability

Boxy Cats is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live that cannot be limited.

8. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. If you keep using Boxy Cats after a change, the updated terms apply.
